The Mindful Kids
And Adults Too!

"The only time you ever have in which to learn anything or see anything or feel anything, or express any feeling or emotion, or respond to an event, or grow, or heal, is this moment, because this is the only moment any of us ever gets.  You're only here now; you're only alive in this moment."
Jon Kabat-Zinn

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of purposely paying attention to your experiences, moment to moment, with complete awareness, curiosity and kindness.

Mindfulness is being aware of what is happening right now, in this moment.  It is not obsessing about the past or fantasizing about what the future may bring. Mindfulness helps us to become more aware of our breath, emotions, thoughts and feelings that arise and dissolve in the mind.

Mindfulness allows us
to recognize how we are feeling in any given moment and helps us to be with that direct experience with kindness and curiosity. This awareness creates space, changing impulsive, habitual reactions to more thoughtful, conscious responses.

We all have the potential to be mindful.  It is actually quite simple.  Simple, but not easy!
