The Mindful Kids
And Adults Too!

"My life has been full of terrible misfortunes most of which never happened."
Michel de Montaigne

There are so many wonderful books out there to help you learn about mindfulness and develop your own practice. If you are anything like me, you may think you need to read them all in order to begin practicing. Fortunately, this is not case.  Unlike other disciplines, the depth of an individual's understanding of mindfulness must be cultivated through experience rather than textbooks.  So, while researching and reading is important, especially in the beginning, the key to growing your mindfulness skills is to practice...

After reading a ridiculous number of books on mindfulness and attending endless classes, workshops and retreats, I've learned that fundamentally, they are all saying the same thing.  Of course, as individuals, we are all drawn to certain authors, experts and styles of writing and fortunately there is something out there for everyone.

I have compiled a list of books for both adults and children that I find very useful.  There are thousands more out there for you to explore.  If you have any specific questions or requests, please feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to talk with you about book selection.

Happy Reading!
